sunday suppers

Well. I don’t have much to report here. I’m playing catch up on sleep, cleaning, errands and emails this week. Hoping to find some time to catch my breath, cook a nice dinner and go for a long run. my kind of therapy. i was lucky enough to find time on sunday to stock my kitchen full with fish, fruits and veggies- i feel as if we’re eating like royalty this week. i’m surprised i haven’t confessed this yet. but i am totally addicted to foodie blogs. gloriously shot images of fancy food, i can’t get enough. i’ll read ingredient lists and gasp out loud. very nerdy. anyway, i’ve been following sunday suppers for a while now and there is truly a unique idea behind it. In their own words: “Sunday Suppers is a collaboration by Casey Solomon and Karen Mordechai. We share a class-cooking-dining experience, pairing friends and food. The food is market fresh, local and organic and the approach is to create seasonal and fresh meals together.” i’m incredibly envious of all who are able to attend these fabulously chic dinner parties and I think I’ll work on throwing a mini one for nick and i tonight. a simple roasted salmon, corn on the cobb with feta basil butter, crisp green beans with sea salt and fresh ground pepper… and white nectarines for dessert… image via sunday suppers
