Kate added these words on Jun 08 10 at 1:02 pm* it should be noted that i have a terrible stomach ache today. probably from the combo of cheez-its and ice cream.
Enia Is (Almost) Here added these words on Jun 08 10 at 2:24 pmhear here (or here hear). one of the benefits of a (semi)long-distance boyfriend is exactly that. though in my case it is reading cheesy books, doing a warm body wrap (which incidentally i call him about, as he finds it hilarious), and drinking pimms with little umbrellas. and i may also watch glee

bo added these words on Jun 08 10 at 2:34 pmhehe that is awesome. i need to do that sometime soon. i do enjoy a good night alone every now and then. i usually start the night off by cleaning the whole house. what a freak huh?
barchbo added these words on Jun 08 10 at 2:58 pmI feel like you have been spying on me!
And sometimes I watch Gossip Girl AND Glee while he’s gone.
Audrey added these words on Jun 08 10 at 3:30 pmI’ve had to slowly introduce my s.s.b. in short spurts as to not freak Trent out too badly. We wake up together, go to work together, and get home together. It sounds smothering, but I love him so much it works.
Thankfully, he plays video games for hours on end, giving me free time to whatever I need to do, even if it is behind closed doors.![]()
But really, there’s almost nothing we can do to surprise each other anymore. haha
Haydee added these words on Jun 08 10 at 4:17 pmI could not agree with you more. It does feel great to do things or nothing at all … alone. Those are definitely things that become scarce once you have a fam, but they’re that much more glorious when the stars align and it does happen:) Great post!
Kate added these words on Jun 08 10 at 4:59 pmAmen! Nothing better than spending some time loving on yourself:)
katiecrackernuts added these words on Jun 08 10 at 7:06 pmOh the glory. Now, if I could just get the kids to feck off for a tad so I can indulge in same I’d be happy as Larry. You know how there’s a place to leave your pets when you go on holidays, is there something similar for 16 and 21-year-olds? NO? Gee sus.
dulci added these words on Jun 08 10 at 7:35 pmI know!! Secretly love it when my bf goes out of town

Remember to make time for yourself for those things once you’re married, too. Though sometimes it really IS fun to freak ‘em out, isn’t it? Also, I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who has issues explaining the need for different lotions.
kendall k. added these words on Jun 09 10 at 2:36 pmI love enjoying a face mask in peace without getting a frightened shout from my husband

LeahB added these words on Jun 09 10 at 7:05 pmI had to read that post to Beej because its so true. His response was a questioning face asking “what’s a pumice stone?”.
Exactly. this is why us girls have to do somethings on our own time…
Her name was Lola added these words on Jun 12 10 at 2:13 pmYou’re a woman after my own heart! Bravo. We must just every moment we have with ourselves, no? Happy weekend, darling. Cheers.
claudia bravo! added these words on Jun 17 10 at 3:30 pmgood for you!
my hubby is often gone months at a time for work…
of course i miss him very much while he is gone
but at the same time…
i try and see the bright side to things…
and enjoy time to myself.
Joanna added these words on Sep 05 10 at 2:02 amI 100% agree with you. In fact, I prefer indulging in the more girly of rituals like painting my nails or putting on a facial mask when the boyfriend is NOT home. I get too much flack for it otherwise. I don’t have enough opportunities for complete solitude, so when I do find myself alone in the apartment, I revel in it.
