what a day.

 wow. it’s only 12:30 here and today has already been a doozy! i’m signing off early to enjoy the long weekend. what are you up to this weekend? i’m looking forward to having some summery cocktails on the lake and doing a little bit of cooking! i’m feeling particularly inspired to get back in the kitchen, thanks to the lovely women who showered me with gifts last weekend. and get this- my amazing sister found a 1961 addition of Mastering the Art of French Cooking at a thrift store and graciously gifted it to me. the original owner included her own notes and considerations, it’s the sweetest thing! I can’t wait to cook her some beef bourguignon when she comes to visit.
