for your walls: kimia kline

it has always been a dream of mine to own some original art. the past few months, i’ve been keeping my eye out for up and coming artists who’s work moves me, and the work of artist and filmmaker, kimia kline, most certainly made an impression on me.

i came across her work on lanalou style, and instantly loved the soft moodiness of her portraits, the gestural nature of her watercolor drawings, and the delicately balanced color palette of her pieces. not only is her work wonderful- she’s adorable, has a great design and style sense, and is so down to earth. kimia has some original pieces available for sale (two new pieces are posting on her website this weekend), and she also does commissioned pieces. i have my eye on a few of her ink and watercolor pieces, a nice way to start a collection, don’t you think?

WOW. Thanks for posting, doll. I’ve got a new apartment to decorate and one of these babies will work wonders! xo
