So crazy for this glam hardware from the multidisciplinary firm Winsome Bravery. I’d love a box of these to hang necklaces from.

You know that feeling when you visit a blog, view a photo essay, or read a short story written by a stranger and immediately feel like they totally get you? This happened to me when I got a note from Mia Nolting. Truth is, I’ve seen her work all over the web, and unfortunately I had no idea it was all coming from one person. In fact, she’s the artist and illustrator who created the list that inspired my “Feelings” playlist. Mia’s lists are so telling, I had to share them with you. She also has a wonderful body of work here, and prints available for purchase here.
Thanks for inspiring me, Mia!

My friend Hailee is a true inspiration. She’s traveling to Costa Rica for a family wedding this May and thought she’d use the opportunity to do some good while she was there.
Her goal is to bring 100 children’s books with her to help start a public library in the small town of La Virgen. You can read more about Hailee’s initiative here. She’s included instructions for sending and purchasing books through Amazon.com. I’ve already purchased this Shel Silverstein book! I hope you can find the time to help out this self-initiated project!
Good luck to you, Hails!

Have you guys heard of Turntable Kitchen’s monthly Pairings Box? It’s a genius concept. This month is particulary cool, considering it was created to inspire couples to get in the kitchen and enjoy some food and music together.
This month Turntable Kitchen collaborated with designer and letterpress printer Jen Merrill, and enlisted iHeartThis, who provided their heart-shaped utensils to be included in each February Pairings Box. Pretty neat!
They are also hosting a huge giveaway today that I’m definitely entering. Watch this video for your chance to win a red Pro-Ject Debut III turntable. Heck yes. Check it out!

I saw this clay bowl tutorial a few weeks ago and just had to give it a try over the holiday break. It looked too good to be true and in reality, it was. Check out the tutorial here and have fun with it! FYI- I used my fingers to shape the bowls to get a more organic look. Looks pretty stunning for something so easy (and cheap) to make.
I think I’m going to try this paper mache bowl next…

I’m an anxious person. There are many facets and faces to anxiety, but the most debilitating part of my anxiousness is feeling scared, overwhelmed and insecure when making decisions- both big and small. I’ve felt a lot of shame around this character trait, but recently I’ve come to accept anxiousness as part of who I am. It’s been easier to see situations for what they are when facing them head on, not looking at them through a rear view mirror.
So when a friend introduced me to Unstuck, I felt like I got a Christmas gift made specifically for me. Unstuck is a free iPad app that helps you diagnose the moments you feel totally stuck. Whether it be a conflict at work, a relationship issue, a goal that’s just out of reach, the app is designed to help reveal what’s really behind the moments you feel stuck. Once you effectively learn to become unstuck, you’re able to live a fuller, happier life.
It’s definitely worth taking the time to watch this video about the program. It’s a wonderful system!

with adhesive magnetic strips! I love this stuff.

it’s hard to accept the fact that 30rock is past it’s prime. the gruesome 15-month wait for arrested development’s return to TV (and now the big screen!) worries me. but i’m thankful for what good TV we have today, especially the funnies parks and recreation brings weekly.
part of the show’s charm is how likeable all the characters are, but ron’s attempt to be anything but makes me want to give him a big bear hug. it seems the internet shares my feelings of love and respect, so i leave you this weekend with a few gems inspired by the man himself. i can’t wait to settle into my couch and watch this week’s episode, i hear it’s hilarious!

Don’t you agree? Here in Minneapolis, the #1 bike-friendly city in America, biking is more than a means of transportation; it’s part of many Minneapolitan’s lifestyle. I swapped my car for a bike about 3 years ago and haven’t looked back. Maybe it’s the endorphins, or the cool breeze on your skin, but few things feel as good as riding a bike.
That’s why this video by Minneapolis agency Colle + McVoy resonated with me. Created on a next-to-nothing budget for the non-profit Bikes Belong, the goal was to capture the joy and magic of riding a bike. Bold animated graphics are projected onto buildings and bridges as bikers ride through the city at dusk. It’s an optimistic, inspiring, and beautiful interpretation of the freedom a bicycle can bring.

i have a weakness for books with hilariously dry titles. when i see one that makes me smile, it must come home with me and join the gems i’ve collected over the years. that’s why i really, really wish these books designed by amy sly existed. not only are they funny and beautifully designed, i would be able to host a conversation about the magical powers behind effective resource-allocation at dinner parties. fancy.
pst! this is for you, lauren! (aka-the biggest harry potter fan i know.)

cuteness alert! i just purchased this adorable print by jamie shelman. i’m in love with it. i’m finding it hard to resist getting a few more…

“If you let fear control your life you are not going to do a lot of things.”
readers- meet my friend hailee. she’s the bravest person i know. she’s also an incredible inspiration to me.
today is an exciting day for hailee and i wanted to share her story with you.
hailee is embarking on a 3,100 mile biking and camping adventure today. she’s doing it because she believes that life is to be lived, and not feared. please read her story here. she’s also keeping a blog called Vida Es Perfecta, and taking donations, which will go towards starting a bike cooperative in her native town Northwood, Iowa.
her stories remind me that things are just things, and a life lived fully is priceless.

the ever clever partners & spade never fail to capture my heart.
a few of my favorite items from their shop… hand painted table stabilizers… boxed self help sets… linen deck towels… hand painted raw canvas ties… axe from best made co.
(the backdated confidence trophies are pretty rad).

{ i’m about to get all mushy on you so i’ll keep it brief. }
these two are adorable.
i love that she wore her glasses on her wedding day. i adore the white daisies in her hair. i like his shy smile and that it doesn’t hide the fact he’s totally stoked to be marrying this chick. so flippin’ cute.
i’m really excited to see more photos from this wedding, shot by the talented jonas peterson

we need a house. why? so we can go camping in our backyard!
how fun would it be to pitch a little tent, bring out some blankets, coffee, an entertaining read, pre-made smore pops, and get cozy with your favorite person? someone, go do this tonight.
UPDATE: thank you gina for letting me know that the first images is from Simon Filip’s gallery “The Wood Between Worlds”. Check out his work- it’s amazing.
