I’m really excited about print and surface designer Nina Glaser! She just introduced a new line of patterned scarves available for pre-order at Ash & Anchor. A perfect way to dress up a t-shirt or maxi dress this spring!

Fine Little Day‘s name is the perfect descriptor for the cheerful line of products they offer. A few of the pieces I’m coveting the most…

One of my favorite design gals just launched a new shop full of beautifully design cards! She combines hand brushed typography, watercolor and bold graphics perfectly. There’s a great selection for V-Day, too.
I’ve been a huge fan of Christine’s work for years now and I can’t wait to see what she does next. Congrats lady!

Today’s inspiration comes from textile designer Nancy Straughan. Her sense of color, form and texture is impeccable. Check out her portfolio here and shop her organic linen prints here. I love seeing what inspires and influences a creative’s work, and her blog is full of graphic goodness.
Thanks for sending along your work, Nancy! Can’t wait to see what’s next.

Love these delicate pieces from Maru Kiko.

Looking to have a little fun with your holiday cards this season? Check out The Butter for a bolder alternative. I love the idea of using one of their holiday stamps on patterned papers.

Mrs. Delaunay’s work popped up on my Tumblr dash yesterday, looking as striking as ever. Did you know she was buddy-buddy with the likes of Mondrian, Arp, Vantongerloo and Kandinsky? Baller.

I haven’t shared much of the work I do at Cue on this blog, so I thought you guys might like this fun piece I designed for The Children’s Theatre Company. I’ve included the chosen inspiration board we initially shared with our client, along with a few images of the printed piece. You can see the project in more detail here.
A few thoughts on the project:
Emerald & Ruby was the 2011 theme for the Children’s Theatre Company’s Curtain Call Ball, an annual fundraiser that supports theatre programs for young people. We created an invitation that was inspired by the upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz, and embodies the glamour of old Hollywood. The invitation captures the whimsy and fun of the classic 1939 film, but with a contemporary, grown-up feel. Guests are encouraged to wear vintage tuxedos and gowns to get into the spirit of Hollywood’s Golden Age.
Cue is now on Twitter, too! Follow us for news updates, plus all the new branding and design projects coming out the Minneapolis-based design agency.

Readers,
I’m so thrilled to host the first giveaway on Wit + Delight. Because design plays a huge role in what products I live with, and since I rely heavily on my bike for transportation, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to host a giveaway sponsored by PUBLIC. PUBLIC is offering a $100 gift card to a lucky W+D reader, which is good towards all gear and bike purchases!
Quality design is at the epicenter of PUBLIC, which was founded by Design Within Reach founder, Rob Forbes. PUBLIC’s website is full of resources for beginners and bike junkies alike, and I especially loved this peak into their vision and the development of a design-centric product offering.
So! Here’s how the PUBLIC giveaway works:
1. Head over to PUBLIC‘s website to learn more about the San Francisco-based bike and gear company. Imagine yourself riding one of those classic European city bikes pimped out with all the trimmings (hello, wine carrier)! Or image gifting your bike-loving babe with an extra special accessory for their urban steed. There’s something for everyone, I’m telling you.
2. Let us know what products catch your eye by commenting below. A winner will be chosen at random. Commenting will be open until this Friday (October 21st) at 11pm.
I’m so thrilled PUBLIC offered this giveaway to you guys. I’ve included my favorite PUBLIC products in this post, but if it were me spending the $100, I’d put it towards Christmas gifts, or the purchase of this beauty!Good luck! (Oh- and you can follow PUBLIC on Facebook and
