we’ve got another wedding this weekend! we’re heading back to my home town to see one of my high school girlfriends get married. i really can’t wait to be home… all i am thinking about is chomping into a delicious portillo’s cheeseburger as soon as we roll down randall road. nothing says “welcome home” better than that… well… besides my parents.

seriously. i am totally speechless over the home of rovillo+reitmayer owner samantha reitamayer. her home was featured on design*sponge last week and you have to go read it. i’m sorry nick, but i’ve decided that our new home will have to have an extra room so i can turn it into a dressing room to display my shoes, dresses and old things i collect for no reason other than the fact that they are pretty. and there i will play dress up in front of a gigantic antique mirror and admire my display of beautiful impractical things. this samantha reitmayer is not only one talented graphic designer, she’s oozing with style.

i was going through some folders today and found these advertisements in a number of different places… no idea where i got them either or why i saved them. my guess is that they made me laugh. so, uh, here ya go…
i’m up to my neck in work and freelance projects this week, hope to be back with some updates on my weekend road trips soon.
1. My leather biker jacket. It fits like a glove, the leather is oh-so creamy and it makes me feel like kind of a bad ass. I have this style in a deep hunter green.
2. A perfectly poached egg over quinoa, coarse sea salt and shavings of Parmesan. I am kind of embarrassed to admit it, but this meal is one of the first things to pop in my head in the morning. I get way too excited about breaking that yoke open and have been known to throw out an over cooked egg. I’m a bit of a diva when it comes to how my eggs are cooked.
3. Chanel nail polish. Their spring colors make my feet look tan and it coats impeccably.
4. Little birds, beautifully screen printed by Fanny Shorter. Gorgeous colors and detailing and each bird is printed to scale. I wish I could afford a real print, right now they just grace my desktop. They make me happy.
5. The album Oracular Spectacular by MGMT. The past couple weeks have been busier than usual and this album has kept me focused and my head bobbing. Kids, Time to Pretend and Weekend Wars are some of my favorite tracks.
